The cream of the crop in Macallan’s Double Cask range, this is the spirit of Macallan incarnate. This Macallan 30 Year Old Double Cask 2021 spent its maturation in both sherry-seasoned American and European oak. Presented at 43% abv, it has a cask-imparted colour.
This Macallan presents the recognisable notes from the distillery. The nose is one of sweet toffee, dried fruits, vanilla pods and honeycomb. Harmonies between cinnamon, ginger, sultanas and toasted oak all arise on the palate. The finish is decadent, with lingering notes of soft spice, toffee, and sweet, freshly planed oak. A showstopping double cask.
